Paris

Paris_802

Paris is a wonderful family dog with such an easy going personality. She is always ready to cuddle, chase her squeeky toys, or go for a walks at the mall. She makes a weekly appearance at the Coach store where the sales clerks greet her with petting and praise.

Paris tested at a year and four days old for the Delta Pet Partner Therapy Program with success, and has been sharing her gifts with local elderly friends since that time.

Recently Paris passed her Canine Good Citizen and with great success tested for the American Temperament Test Society, Inc. (ATTS). The ATTS Temperament Test focuses on and measures different aspects of temperament such as stability, shyness, aggressiveness, and friendliness as well as the dog's instinct for protectiveness towards its handler and/or self-preservation in the face of a threat.

Paris has a wonderful pedigree full of many great Standard Poodles such as Champion Peckerwood's Formal Attire, Ebony Lace and Esmiredla; also Champion Maneetas Del Zarzosa Fuego Fatuo and Champion Donnchada Remington Steele, Champion Coquetel Cavalier CD, plus 22 majestic ancestors in her six generation pedigree.

Rosie

Rosie came to us almost 12 years ago. She is a sweet little Toy Poodle that will be young until the day she’s gone. She has a special ball she plays with, and all you do is ask her, “Where’s your ball?” and she will find it.

Rosie remains the Alpha of our dogs, even though Paris is five times her size. She has thinning hair now and needs to be protected from the sun in the summer months.

Rosie gave birth via C-section to two poodles, one white, and one black. The little black poodle, “Annie” remains with us today. The little white male, “Morgan” lives across the street in a loving home.

Annie

009

Annie is different from our other dogs. She has certain people she dislikes, and there’s no changing that! People say that dogs can tell how someone is before they even get close to them? Well, I believe that! If someone gets too close to a member of our family she is ‘on guard’ and she will snap at their ankles to keep them away. She thinks she is really tough but has never done any damage to anyone by biting.

Annie always lays under your feet on the floor, and sleeps in her spot under the bed. She gets really excited when her daddy comes home from work, he gives each dog a few pieces of cat food, and she has her session with his leg. (rolling eyes) Some things never change!

Kittercat came to us from the animal shelter around eight years ago. Animal Control picked up 13 kittens, less than six weeks old, and three adult cats that were living under a pine tree in the country. She was the only kitten in the bunch with blue eyes. We saved her from being put down. The rest of the cats were euthanized.

Kittercat is the first cat we have ever owned, maybe I should say she owns us! She stays to herself most of the time, but comes out to ‘show off’ now and then, when the dogs are outside and it’s safe. She likes to torment the dogs by getting them to chase her. Kittercat spends time in the attic and is a GREAT mouser! She serves her purpose well.

We originally named her Cruella, but the name somehow evolved to Kittercat. She’s a tough little bugger, with all of the coyotes in the field here, she’s manage to survive with the best of them.
